Professional and Knowledgeable Estimate Aug 4, 2025

Mike Lawson from Reynolds Electric came this morning to give us an estimate on a new heat pump. Within the hour we had three estimates from him, all based on our conversation during his visit. He explained the pros and cons of each scenario so we could make a more educated decision. I truly appreciated his professionalism and knowledge.

Update: AJ from Reynolds called me twice to rectify the situation and refunded my service call amount in full. I have updated my review to 4 stars and I would try Reynolds again. Our heat pump was not working on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, it was during a heatwave of 90+ degrees. I called Reynolds and they said they would have a technician out first thing between 8-9:00 Monday morning. At 9:45 a.m., when they hadn't showed up or texted, I called. I was told that someone could be out to my house sometime after 11:00. Unfortunately, I told them that I worked that Monday from 11-3:00. I was told that I would get a call back to see about scheduling a time a different time. I didn't hear back, so I called at approximately 12:30 p.m. At that time, I was transferred to the technician scheduler. She apologized and said she saw my 8 a.m. appointment but didn't see the reason that I got bumped and that they could come at 3:30 that day and I would receive a discount for the mix-up. I got a text prior to the visit and Tiffany, the technician, was wonderful. Professional, knowledgeable, excellent with my barking dog. And it turned out to be a user error-haha. When it came time to pay, I told Tiffany that I was told there would be a discount. She called the office and explained about my scheduling discount but the person in the office said that my charge was still $89. Tiffany apologized and I of course saw that it wasn't her fault. 5 Stars for Tiffany!! The rest was a bit of a hassle, so 2 stars for communication and charges.

I appreciated that Reynolds sent me his name and picture prior to his arrival. He was very knowledgeable about the issues some of my requests involved; he worked quickly and cleaned everything up as he went. Being a carpenter for 50 years, I have worked behind many electricians, but the crew from Reynolds Electric were, by far, the very best I’ve ever seen. A whole house rewire on a 1944 knob and tube hybrid took but 5 days and every day they cleaned up their mess superbly! Ran into many issues as the house had 2 additions over the years, but worked right through them. Kudos for Reynolds Electric!
